How to set initial password for newly created object with Generic LDAP connector?

Form Generic LDAP connector point of view, AD, ADAM, Sun Directory(iPlanet) server absolutely the same systems. No any specific knowledge about connected system doesn’t provided with Generic LDAP connector, like:

 • What type of objects  a  password can be applied  to.
 • What attribute should be used to apply a password.

To setup a password with Generic LDAP connector you can use Initial attribute population rules. For example to set initial password in iPlanet you can create a rule to generate a value of the 'userPAssword' attribute.
